The country imported approximately 1,130 cubic meters of fuel this year, down from around 1,380 cubic meters in 2022. This decline continues a long-term trend observed since 2002, with Albanian fuel demand decreasing by over 32% year on year. On the export front, Albania is projected to see a slight increase in fuel exports over the next five years. By 2028, fuel exports are expected to reach approximately 14,300 cubic meters, up from 14,200 cubic meters in 2023. This represents a modest compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 0.1%. However, since 1997, Albanian fuel supply has experienced a yearly decline of 1.6%.
