Kenyan polypropylene exports saw a huge increase in 2018, jumping from 975,620 kilograms the year before to over 2 million. This 111.4 percent growth is part of a larger trend since 1997, when exports were up 78.2 percent year-on-year. In 2018, Kenya was the number one exporter of polypropylene, with a total of 5.2 billion kilograms. South Korea, Germany and Singapore ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
