Indian imports and exports of polypropylene are predicted to grow in the coming years. Imports are expected to reach 786 million kilograms by 2026, while exports are expected to reach 690 million kilograms. This is a 2.7% and 1% yearly growth rate, respectively. In 2021, India was the sixth largest importer of polypropylene, behind Belgium at 660 million kilograms. Italy, Germany, and Indonesia respectively followed as the second, third and fourth largest importers. India was the seventh largest exporter of polypropylene in 2021. The United States overtook with 643 million kilograms. South Korea, Germany, and Singapore respectively ranked second, third, and fourth in this ranking. Since 1993, the demand for polypropylene in India has grown by 4% per year, and the supply by 1.9% per year.
