Sri Lanka's polypropylene exports are expected to reach around 257,000 kg by 2026, up from 192,000 kg in 2021. This equates to an average annual growth rate of 4.7%. Since 1999, exports have more than tripled, with Sri Lanka now ranked 85th in the world. Ghana took the number one spot in 2021 with 191,820 kg. South Korea, Germany, and Singapore followed in second, third and fourth places respectively. Meanwhile, Sri Lankan polypropylene imports are set to reach around 46 million kg by 2026, up from 43 million kg in 2021. This represents an average annual growth rate of 1%. Since 1999, imports have risen by 3.5%. In 2021, Sri Lanka was ranked 49th in the world, with Jordan taking the number one spot at 42.76 million kg. Italy, Germany, and Indonesia followed in second, third, and fourth places respectively.
