Demand for ammonia in Tanzania is expected to decline annually by an average of 2.2% over the next five years, falling from $136,540 in 2021 to $120,060 by 2026. Since 2000, demand in the country has decreased by an average of 5.6% a year. Tanzania's ammonia exports were $6,920 in 2017, but dropped to only $212 in 2018, a decrease of 96.9% from the previous year. However, since 2004, supply has increased by an average of 5.4% annually. In 2018, Tanzania was in 87th place in the export ranking, with Barbados leading the way with $212. Saudi Arabia, Russia and Indonesia occupied the second, third and fourth places, respectively.
