Demand for acrylonitrile in Hungary is expected to rise in the coming years. According to estimates, by 2026, the import of the substance will hit 35.2 million kilograms, a 2% increase from the 31.2 million kilograms imported in 2021. Since 1997, Hungary's demand for acrylonitrile has grown at an average rate of 3.3% annually. In 2021, it ranked 13th in the global rankings, behind Italy, which imported 31.2 million kilograms. India, South Korea, and Malaysia followed in second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
