Slovak imports of chlorine plummeted by 58.1% in 2021, reaching just under 300,000 kilograms. This was a dramatic decrease compared to the 706,080 kilograms imported in 2020. However, since 1999, demand has risen by 15.1% year-on-year. Exports of chlorine from Slovakia are forecast to reach 10.6 million kilograms by 2026. This represents a 1.1% annual increase from the 2021 figure of 9.77 million kilograms. Since 1999, supply has declined by 0.5% year-on-year. Slovakia is the twelfth largest exporter of chlorine in 2021, with Singapore leading the ranking with 9.77 million kilograms. The United States, France and Germany are ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
