Mexican imports of butadiene fell by 26.1% in 2021, compared to the previous year, to around 14 million kilograms. This marks a 15.5% drop since 1995. Italy topped the 2021 rankings with 14 million kilograms, followed by China, France, and the United States. In 2015, Mexican exports of butadiene increased by 6.2% compared to 2014, to around 44 million kilograms. This placed Mexico in 15th place worldwide, with the United States in first with 44 million kilograms, followed by Germany, Belgium, and Brazil.
