In 2021, Germany ranked 15th for frozen food imports with $340 million and 15th for frozen food exports with $90 million. Italy was ahead in imports and exports with $340 million and $90 million respectively. The United States, South Korea, and Japan followed in imports, while China, Spain, and Mexico ranked second, third, and fourth for exports. Since 1996, Germany has seen a steady increase in demand for imports, growing at a rate of 5.4% year on year. Meanwhile, supply of exports only rose by 1.9%.
