In 2021, the country ranked 37th in the world for frozen food imports, with Greece coming in first at $44 million. The United States, South Korea and Japan were second, third and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, Oman's frozen food exports are expected to reach $1.5 million by 2026, up 3.2% annually from $1.2 million in 2021. Since 2000, domestic supply of frozen food has dropped 16.3% year-on-year. In 2021, the country ranked 61st in the world for frozen food exports, with Montenegro coming in first at $1.2 million. China, Spain and Mexico were second, third and fourth respectively.
