Projections suggest a decrease to about 2.4 million metric tons by 2028, down from 2.38 million metric tons in 2023. This represents an average annual decline of 0.1%. Despite this, the supply levels have remained relatively stable since 2019, showing no significant annual change. In 2023, the Philippines ranked 19th in sweeteners production, just behind Iran, which also produced around 2.4 million metric tons. Leading the global rankings were Brazil, the United States, and Thailand, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
