It was ranked 67th, with the Maldives overtaking at $1.8 billion. Japan, South Korea, and Singapore followed as the top importers. Exports of fishing equipment from Madagascar will reach $5.5 billion by 2026, a 2.2% average year on year growth since 1995. Last year, the country ranked 35th, with South Africa overtaking at $4.8 billion. Japan, the United States, and Malaysia came in the top three.
