The Netherlands is set to reach a record high of $218 million in fishing equipment exports and imports by 2026. Exports are expected to rise 2.3% year on year, from $93.5 million in 2021 to $106.9 million by 2026. Imports will increase 1.7% year on year to reach $112.2 million over the same period. Since 1997, the Netherlands has seen a steady increase in its fishing equipment exports and imports, with an average annual growth rate of 2.8% and 2.2% respectively. In 2021, the country was ranked seventh in exports, while France overtook it in imports with $101.3 million. Japan, the United States, Malaysia, South Korea and Singapore were respectively the top five countries in exports, while Japan, South Korea and Singapore took the top three spots in imports.
