Spain is set to become one of the world's top hemp producers. By 2026, the country is expected to produce 1,200 metric tons of hemp, up from 942 metric tons in 2021. That's a 4.2% increase year on year since 1966. In 2021, Spain ranked fifth in terms of hemp production, behind Chile which produced 942 metric tons. China, Russia and Chile followed in second, third and fourth places respectively.
