Since 2000, the country has seen a steady 10% year-on-year increase in demand. In 2023, Lithuania ranked 28th globally in food services expenditure, with Iceland surpassing it at €1.9 billion. Spain, Italy, and France secured the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. Similarly, Lithuanian food services revenue is expected to reach €2.1 billion by 2028 from €1.6 billion in 2023, growing at an average rate of 4.5% per year. Since 2010, the Lithuanian market has seen a significant jump of 7.2% annually. In the 2023 rankings, Lithuania also held the 28th spot in food services revenue, trailing behind Malta, which posted €1.6 billion. Germany, France, and Italy occupied the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
