The UK is the biggest market at €108 billion, followed by France, Germany and Italy. Bosnia and Herzegovina saw a 6.1% annual rise in revenue, while Cyprus saw a 8.8% drop. Meanwhile, food services expenditure in Europe is projected to reach €653 billion by 2026, down 0.4% annually from the 2021 figure of €599 billion. Since 2016, demand has dropped 4.1% annually. The UK is the biggest market, with spending reaching €141 billion. Italy, France and Germany follow in second, third and fourth place, respectively. Albania saw a 7.4% annual rise in expenditure, while Montenegro saw a 13% drop.
