Germany's tobacco production is expected to drop by 2.5% a year on average over the next five years, reaching 4,810 metric tons in 2026. This is in stark contrast to the country's output in 1966, which was 2.7% lower than the 2021 figure of 5,580 metric tons. In 2021, Honduras topped the rankings with 5,580 metric tons of production, while Germany was 51st. India, Brazil, and Zimbabwe ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Meanwhile, Germany's tobacco sales are projected to grow by 0.8% a year over the next five years, reaching $2,550 million in 2026. This is an increase from 2003's figure, which was 1.6% higher than the 2021 figure of $2,430 million. In 2021, Mexico overtook Germany in the rankings, which came 7th with $2,430 million, while Indonesia, the Philippines, and Poland ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively.
