Since 1997, the country's tobacco output has experienced a significant drop, decreasing by an average of 11.8% per year. In the global ranking for 2023, Bosnia secured the 71st position in terms of production volume. Tunisia slightly outpaced Bosnia, also producing around 1,450 metric tons. Leading the global rankings were India, Brazil, and Zimbabwe, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots respectively.
