Tobacco production in the United Arab Emirates is set to drop over the next five years. In 2021, the country produced 167 metric tons of tobacco, placing them at number 107 in the world. However, this figure is expected to drop by 10.2% year-on-year, bringing down total production to 90.6 metric tons by 2026. This decrease can be traced back to 1971, when production was 7.8% lower than it is today. Tobacco sales in the UAE are forecasted to grow slightly in the next five years. In 2021, the country reported $169.41 million in sales, placing them at 29th in the world. This figure is expected to grow by 0.9% year-on-year, resulting in total sales of around $178.38 million by 2026. Since 2017, sales have grown 1.7% year-on-year. Kazakhstan, Indonesia, the Philippines and Poland rank ahead of the UAE in the rankings.
