The number of broadband subscribers in the Dominican Republic is set to increase to around 1.35 million by 2026. This is an average annual growth rate of 3.2% since 2021, when the country had 1.11 million subscriptions. Since 2008, demand for broadband has grown by an average rate of 7.9% year-on-year. In 2021, the Dominican Republic ranked 69th in the world, with Uruguay overtaking them to claim first place. The United States, Japan and Brazil ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
