Swiss demand for broadband subscriptions is set to climb steadily over the next five years. By 2026, the total number of subscriptions is expected to reach almost 4.9 million, up from 4.4 million in 2021. This growth of 2% year on year is slightly above the average rate since 2005 of 3%. In 2021, Switzerland was ranked 36th in the world for broadband subscriptions. Sweden was ahead of the Swiss, with 4.4 million subscriptions, while the United States, Japan and Brazil came in at numbers two, three and four respectively.
