Maltese broadband subscriptions are expected to reach almost 270,000 by 2026. The number of subscriptions grew an average of 2.6% each year since 2021, when the country ranked 109th in the world. That same year, Cuba overtook Malta with 231,140 subscriptions. The United States, Japan and Brazil ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
