Belgian hip replacement surgery is set to rise to around 35,400 procedures by 2026, according to a recent report. This follows an average annual growth of 1% since 2021, when the number of procedures stood at 33,240. Since 2010, the rate of Belgian hip replacement surgery has grown by an average of 2.1% annually. In 2021, the country ranked 11th in the world for the number of such surgeries performed, with the Netherlands overtaking it to reach 33,240 procedures. France, the United Kingdom and Italy were the top three countries for this type of surgery.
