Cypriot transportation expenditure is projected to rise to €2.34 billion by 2028, up from €2.15 billion in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of 1.3%. Since the year 2000, however, Cypriot demand in this sector has seen a yearly decline of 1.8%. In the 2023 rankings, Cyprus held the 29th position, with Latvia narrowly ahead, also at €2.15 billion. Leading the list were the United Kingdom, France, and Italy, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots respectively.
