Since the year 2000, Serbia has seen a substantial increase in its transportation demand, with an annual growth rate of 5.8%. In the 2023 rankings, Serbia secured the 24th spot, just behind Slovenia, which also recorded a transportation expenditure of around €4.8 billion. Leading the pack in this ranking were the United Kingdom, France, and Italy, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
