Russian pipeline transport volume is projected to drop significantly, reaching approximately 596 billion tonne-kilometers by 2028, down from nearly 998 billion tonne-kilometers in 2023. This marks an average annual decrease of 8.3%. The downward trend in Russia's pipeline transport demand is not new. Since 1975, the country has experienced an average annual decline of 5.6%. In terms of global rankings, Kazakhstan, Poland, and France hold the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively, for pipeline transport volume.
