Since 1976, Tanzanian energy supply has grown at an average rate of 0.4% year on year. In 2021, Tanzania was ranked 61 in terms of energy supply. Switzerland overtook it at 21.7 million tonnes of oil equivalent. The United States, India and Russia respectively came in second, third and fourth in this ranking.
