Austrian renewable energy generation is set to jump by almost 20 terawatt-hours over the next five years. In 2021, the country's renewable energy supply stood at a total of 15 terawatt-hours - the 14th highest in Europe. Greece topped the ranking with 16 terawatt-hours, followed by the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy. Compared to 1991, the Austrian renewable energy supply has grown by 6 terawatt-hours each year, on average. This figure is expected to reach 17.4 terawatt-hours by 2026.
