This growth represents an average annual rate of 0.6%. Historically, Slovakia's renewable supply has seen a steady rise. Since 2006, the country has experienced an annual increase of about 1.6% in its renewable energy output. In 2023, Slovakia ranked 28th in renewable generation. Estonia was slightly ahead, also producing around 2.4 terawatt-hours. Leading the pack in renewable energy production were the United Kingdom, Spain, and France, holding the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
