Cypriot renewable energy generation is on track for significant growth, projected to reach approximately 1.2 terawatt-hours by 2028. This marks an increase from around 0.8 terawatt-hours in 2023, representing an average annual growth rate of 5.5%. Since 2009, Cyprus has seen its renewable energy supply surge by 12.7% each year. In the latest rankings for 2023, Cyprus holds the 31st position. Latvia has surpassed Cyprus with renewable generation also at 0.8 terawatt-hours. Leading the pack in renewable energy generation are the United Kingdom, Spain, and France, which rank second, third, and fourth respectively.
