In 2021, Mauritius was the 44th biggest wool exporter, with Mexico leading the way at $15.9 million. China, Italy and Germany followed at 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Meanwhile, Mauritian wool imports are expected to reach $15.7 million by 2026, declining by 2.9% annually on average. This is a decrease of 1.9% since 1998. In 2021, Mauritius was the 50th biggest wool importer, with Tunisia taking the lead at $18.7 million. Italy, Germany and the UK ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
