Global wool import is expected to hit $13.5 billion by 2026, growing at a rate of 0.5% each year. This is an increase of 3.4% since 2017. Last year, China was the largest importer at $4.4 billion, with Italy, Germany and the UK coming in second, third and fourth respectively. Kyrgyzstan saw a year-on-year increase of 94%, while Mozambique saw a decrease of 44%. Global wool export is projected to reach $13.9 billion by 2026, a growth of 0.3% annually. This is a 2.2% increase since 2017. Australia was the largest exporter at $3 billion last year, followed by China, Italy and Germany. Tanzania achieved a year-on-year growth of 210%, while Montenegro saw a decrease of 46%.
