Guyanese air passenger traffic experienced a significant drop in 2021, with the number of passengers falling to approximately 7,500. This marks a steep 58% decline from the 18,000 passengers reported in 2020. In 2021, Guyana was ranked 141st globally for air passenger traffic. Slovakia, which also recorded around 7,500 passengers, edged out Guyana in the rankings. China held the top position in this global ranking, followed by India and Ireland in the second and third spots, respectively.
