Air passenger traffic in Guyana decreased significantly in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 11,000 fewer people flew in the country compared to the previous year, representing a 37.3% drop. Guyana came in 142nd place worldwide in air passenger traffic last year, with 17,990 people taking to the skies. This was fewer than Samoa, which came in 141st place with 18,000 passengers. The United States, India and Ireland came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, respectively.
