Kyrgyzstan's air passenger traffic is projected to rise to approximately 1.15 million by 2028, up from about 1.03 million in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 1.9%. Since 1998, however, demand for air travel in Kyrgyzstan has seen a yearly decline of 2.7%. In the 2023 rankings, Kyrgyzstan stood at 95th place, overtaken by Afghanistan, which recorded around 1.03 million passengers. Globally, China, India, and Ireland secured the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively, in air passenger traffic.
