Mongol Air Passenger Traffic Poised for Steady Growth ULAANBAATAR — Mongolia's air passenger traffic is projected to reach approximately 870,000 persons by 2028, up from about 780,000 in 2023. This represents a steady annual growth rate of 1.7%, according to recent forecasts. Since 1996, the demand for air travel in Mongolia has increased at an annual average rate of 3.1%. In the 2023 rankings, the country stood at number 99, with Bulgaria just ahead, also at around 780,000 passengers. China, India, and Ireland occupied the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively, in terms of air passenger traffic.
