Since 1975, the demand for air travel in Burma has been on a steady rise, with an average yearly increase of 5.1%. In the 2023 rankings, Burma held the 62nd position, just behind Tunisia, which also recorded around 4.4 million passengers. Leading the global rankings are China, India, and Ireland, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
