Despite this slight increase, the country's demand for air travel has seen a significant decline since 1975, with an average annual decrease of 6.7%. In the latest rankings for 2023, Venezuela stands at 87th place globally, having been surpassed by Belize, which also recorded around 1.57 million air passengers. Leading the global rankings are China, India, and Ireland, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
