Gambian nickel imports are expected to reach $5.7 billion by 2026. That's down 1.7% from 2021, when the country imported $6.4 billion worth of nickel. Since 2000, Gambian demand has increased 7% year over year. In 2021, Gambia was the 140th largest importer, with Bermuda overtaking it at $6.4 billion. The United States, Japan and Norway came in at second, third and fourth respectively in the rankings.
