This marks an average annual growth rate of 0.8%. Historical data reveals that, since 1998, the UK's nickel supply has shown a modest annual increase of 0.1%. In 2023, the UK secured the sixth position in the global ranking for nickel exports. Germany led the pack with exports valued at $1.4 billion, while Canada, Russia, and Malaysia followed in second, third, and fourth places, respectively. On the import front, the UK's nickel imports are expected to reach about $1.46 billion by 2028, up from $1.43 billion in 2023. This represents a slower average annual growth rate of 0.3%. Since 1998, the demand for nickel in the UK has seen a yearly decline of 1.2%.
