Costa Rican food production is on the rise. It is estimated to reach $6.7 billion by 2026, up 1.5% each year from 2021. This growth began in 1966, when production increased by 3% each year. In 2021, Costa Rica ranked 65th on the list of countries with the highest food production. Austria was ahead of Costa Rica with $6.1 billion. India, the United States and Brazil followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th places respectively.
