Panamanian food production is poised to hit $3.1 billion by 2026, according to figures from 2021. This is a year-on-year growth rate of 1.4%. Since 1966, supply has been increasing by 2.1% each year. In 2021, Panama was ranked number 90 in the world for food production, overtaken by Zimbabwe at $2.9 billion. India, the United States and Brazil were the top three countries in the rankings, taking first, second and third place respectively.
