Sri Lankan food production is expected to reach $6.3 billion by 2026, up from $5.7 billion in 2021. This represents an average annual growth rate of 1.8%. Since 1966, food production in the country has grown at a rate of 0.9% each year. In 2021, Sri Lanka was ranked 69th in the world in terms of food production – behind Angola, India, the United States and Brazil.
