Germany, Japan and Mexico were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Meanwhile, food waste generated in the UK is set to fall by 0.3% year on year average rate to 29,930 thousand metric tons by 2026. Since 1995, the country has seen a 0.8% decrease. The UK was 6th globally in 2021, with France leading the way at 30,480 thousand metric tons. China, Germany and Japan were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
