Since 1966, production has increased by 1.4% year on year. In 2021, Iceland was 123rd, with the Central African Republic surpassing them at 25,040 metric tons. The United States, Brazil and Mexico ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Beer sales in Iceland increased to €6 million in 2018 from €5.2 million in 2017. The country ranked 25th in 2018, with Bosnia and Herzegovina surpassing them at €6 million. The United Kingdom, Spain and Belgium were ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
