Since 1966, the global supply has seen an average yearly increase of 0.9%. In 2023, China led the world in beer production with roughly 41 million metric tons. The United States, Brazil, and Mexico followed, ranking second, third, and fourth, respectively. Notably, Iran's beer production surged by 11.8% annually, while Pakistan's output declined by 11.3% per year since 1966. European beer sales are expected to climb to €49.6 billion by 2028, up from €46.8 billion in 2023, reflecting an average annual growth rate of 1.3%. Since 2019, the European market has grown at an annual rate of 0.7%. Germany topped the European beer sales chart in 2023, with sales amounting to €10.5 billion. The United Kingdom, Spain, and Belgium occupied the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. Over this period, Spain's beer sales increased by 5.7% annually, whereas the United Kingdom experienced a 4.2% annual decline since 2019.
