Exports of natural rubber from Ukraine skyrocketed 1,080% in 2018, reaching close to $65 million. This was a significant increase compared to the $5.5 million in exports in 2017. Since 2002, Ukrainian supply of natural rubber has increased 180% year-on-year. In 2018, Ukraine was the 68th leading exporter of natural rubber, with Bahrain overtaking it with $65 million. Indonesia, Ivory Coast and Malaysia ranked second, third and fourth respectively. In 2018, Ukraine imported $2.3 million worth of natural rubber, an increase of 26.9% compared to 2017 when it imported $1.8 million. Since 2001, Ukrainian demand for natural rubber has decreased by 26.6% year-on-year. In 2018, Ukraine was the 57th largest importer of natural rubber, with Thailand overtaking it with $2.3 million. The United States, Malaysia and Japan ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
