Uganda's tungsten import is projected to drop 0.8% annually until 2026. In 2021, the country was ranked 120th, with imports of $1,380. This was behind Cameroon, which imported $1,440. Germany, Japan and Austria were the top three importers, respectively. Since 1999, Ugandan demand for tungsten has risen by an average of 28% per year. In 2017, the country's tungsten exports surged 14,510% to $29,810, from just $204 in 2016.
