Similarly, France is the third-largest bauxite exporter in the world, with exports expected to reach over 2,000 thousand metric tons by 2026. This is a 1.8% year-on-year growth on average since 1995. The Netherlands was the leading exporter in 2021 with 1,950 thousand metric tons, followed by Ireland and France.
