Bulgaria's bauxite exports are predicted to reach around 164,000 metric tons by 2026. This figure is up from 145,000 metric tons in 2021, an average year-on-year growth of 2.2%. Since 2005, Bulgarian bauxite exports have grown by 4.7% annually. In 2021, the country ranked 24th in the world, behind Croatia, which supplied 144,000 metric tons. Ireland, the Netherlands and France were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Meanwhile, Bulgarian bauxite imports are expected to reach around 225,000 metric tons by 2026. This is up from 197,000 metric tons in 2021, a year-on-year growth rate of 2.2%. Since 2005, Bulgarian bauxite imports have increased by 3.2% annually. In 2021, the country ranked 24th, behind Portugal, which supplied 197,000 metric tons. Spain, Ireland and France were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
