According to market forecasts, imports are expected to reach 705 thousand metric tons by 2026, up 1.8% annually from 2021. This will be an increase of 2.5% since 2003. Slovakia ranked 20th in 2021, behind Hungary with 634 thousand metric tons. Spain, Ireland, and France followed in that order. Exports are expected to reach 398 thousand metric tons by 2026, up 2% annually from 2021. This will be an increase of 4.1% since 2003. Slovakia ranked 19th in 2021, behind Hungary with 353 thousand metric tons. Ireland, the Netherlands, and France followed in that order.
